Providers that have an agreement with Workforce Solutions must meet the following qualifications:
The Texas Government Code §2308.3171 defines a “quality child care indicator” as any appropriate indicator of quality services, including if the provider:
Boards must provide information on child care providers that meet any of the quality child care indicators for each licensed or registered child care provider in their workforce area to parents applying for or receiving subsidized child care services and to the public.
• Licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
• Registered with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
• Licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a youth day camp; or
• Operated and monitored by the United States military services
• Are not subject of any corrective or adverse action with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Department of Health, or any other state or federal agency
• Registered with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
• Licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a youth day camp; or

• Listed Family Homes are not licensed or registered by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services.

• Is a Texas Rising Star (TRS) certified provider
• Is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting organization approved by the Texas Workforce Commission
• Is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting organization approved by the Texas Workforce Commission
• Is Kindergarten Ready System (KRS) certified;
• Is participating in the Texas School Ready! (TSR) project
• Is approved by TWC as a program with a quality child care indicator
• Is participating in the Texas School Ready! (TSR) project
